Brandon and Rosie met at the sophisticated Boston establishment, West End Johnny’s on a late summer’s night in 2014. Rosie was celebrating her birthday with friends. Brandon and the boys were out on the town. Neither of them suspected what a fateful night it would turn out to be!
 
Debate continues over who of Brandon’s groomsmen deserves the wingman medal for introducing the couple, but it was Rosie’s casual inquiry about Brandon’s Detroit Tigers hat that began their conversation. The two discovered that although they were on opposite sides of the Penguins/ Red Wings hockey rivalry, they had so much more in common, from their mid-western roots to their careers in education. Right from the start, they had an undeniable connection and comfort with each other. Rosie impressed with her knowledge of hockey legends from the 1990s. Brandon showed off his stunning moves on the dance floor. As the bar closed, Brandon asked for her number.

As the summer faded into fall, Rosie and Brandon spent the start of the busy school year looking for time to spend together. Whether it was a restaurant, a brewery, or a Red Sox game. they just loved to be together. By mid October, they had made their relationship official.

That next summer they took an epic road trip to meet each other’s families and visit their hometowns. This exotic Pittsburgh-Detroit vacation would become their favorite summer tradition! From Mount Washington to Lake Charlevoix, to PNC Park and Ford Field, they did it all. And it was clear that they had found something special in each other. 

Almost three years since the day they met, Brandon proposed by surprising Rosie with a trail of flower petals and a beautiful rose gold ring.There were happy tears, phone calls, and a big celebration later that night with all of their friends who had been there from the beginning. The celebrating hasn’t stopped since!
